The blue pansy is the first of the collection because it’s always the first to bloom in my garden, and a true favourite. It’s meaning is deeply rooted in its name. From the French word pensée, meaning "to think". Traditionally she symbolises feelings of love, remembrance and contemplation, and in the Victorian language of flowers gifting a pansy meant the sender was thinking of the recipient.

I like to think of the Pansy as the first version of the love note.

Pansy No. 1

15 × 10.5cm approximately of entire paper.
